10 CEs for Activity Professionals

Activities 101 is a great introduction to the field of activities. It is especially beneficial for Activity Assistants and Front-Line staff which focuses on providing engaging programs for elders in various long-term-care communities. Topics covered in this course include:

  • Overview of the Aging Client Population
  • Communicating for Success
  • Behavior Management
  • The Therapeutic Process and Activities
  • Group Activity Engagement
  • One-to-One Activity Engagement

The course is 10 hours and counts for 10 Continuing Education credits for professionals. It is taught remotely through 4 weekly evening sessions from 5:30 – 8:00 PM for 4 weeks via Zoom® Online Meeting Platform.


As of May 2020 this course is still considered the required curriculum for the NCCAP certification for Home Health until the new Montessori Home Engagement Course is released. 

Activity Professionals can still use this course as an introduction to the profession AND for 10 Continuing Education Credits.

How the Course Works

1. Register online using the form below.

2. After registering, you will be sent an email with instructions on how to join the Activities 101 Google Classroom.

3. Attend all weekly sessions via Zoom(r) and participate in the in-class activities.

4.Complete the exam with 75% or higher and receive your certificate worth a total of 10 credits.
