Activity Care Planning Intensive - 21.5 Hours of CEs

Next Class Starts March 1st in it's New Format

The Activities Care Planning Intensive is a 22-hour training program designed to enhance students’ knowledge of the care planning process, discuss the regulations regarding care plans and the process of person-centered care planning and practice skills needed to write stellar care plans. The course is designed for Activity Professionals who are seeking to improve their skills and gain continuing education specialized in care planning to use toward national certification as ADC.  20 + CE hours are available for Activity Professionals.


Through this course, students will

  • Review the care planning process and regulations in the activity modality.
  • Identify person-centered language to use in care planning.
  • Practice writing care plans using person-centered language.
  • Practice presenting care plans to an interdisciplinary care planning team.

About the Classroom

Our online, virtual classroom allows us to offer the same real-time class experience for students even from the comfort of your own living room. Please note that you will need a valid Gmail account and computer with webcam to participate.

About the Instructor

Timothy Anderson, ACC/EDU is a certified activity consultant through the National Certification Council for Activities Professionals and the owner of the TMWC Activity Professional Academy. He is an instructor for the Modular Education Program for Activities Professionals (part 1 and 2) and the Activities 101 Class for Home Health Certification. In addition, he is the Activity Coordinator for Cranston Adult Day Services and adjunct professor of Music at the Community College of Rhode island.
