Relax through Reiki

The field of Activities is a wonderful, rewarding experience. It also can be very stressful...we often have a lot of expectations placed on us from management, staff, and our residents. While we love our job, it is not difficult to become overwhelmed, stressed out, or even burned out!

Reiki is a great way to promote relaxation and stress relief which can help take the edge off of our long and difficult days. Self care is essential for us to provide the best program possible for those we serve AND for us to continue to enjoy doing it!

Reiki is a hands-on healing technique developed in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui. This technique is used to promote relaxation and wellness on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. During a treatment, the practitioner's hands are placed on or over a part of the person's body, directing the body's natural energetic healing flow. Each treatment is tailored to the person's healing needs.

I find that many people experience more intense and powerful results from Reiki when it is performed over a period of time, and so in addition to one-time sessions, I also offer treatment plans which include 3 to 5 sessions at reasonable rates.  Reiki Treatments can be in person or over a distance.

Bring Reiki to Your Community!

Reiki provides a great opportunity for residents as well as for the Activity Professional! Unfortunately, many activity programs are underfunded, making offering this exciting relaxation and healing technique unavailable to the residents who would greatly benefit from it.

The Good News? I offer a training program focused specifically for Activity Professionals. The training certifies the program provider to heal others with Reiki as well as discusses how to create a Reiki program in a healthcare community.
